We have put many items on sale for Christmas--check us out!
We believe this vase was made in America in the late 1800s or possibly early 1900s. This type of glass was also made in Europe, so we can't be completely sure where it was made - so far we haven't found another one like this.
The fluted vase measures 6.75" tall and 3.5" in diameter. The glass is ribbed and features a gently scalloped rim on the top. The metal mount is nicely detailed.
Condition is very good considering its age. There are a few minor scratches here and there, which one has to look for to see. The gilt metal has a nice patina, but no corrosion - in fact, no spots of tarnish at all.
This is a beautiful vase, especially lovely displayed in a place that allows light to glow through, showing off the intense ruby and amber colors.
