American Brilliant Cut Glass Carafe

The combination of geometric and curved lines adds a fluid grace to this American Brilliant cut glass carafe. It is an unsigned piece, but certainly cut by a master and the glass itself is heavy and clear as distilled water.

Alternating hobstar and cross-hatched diamonds surround the bowl. The cuts are deep and polished. The fluted neck is notched, and has three rings cut around its narrowest point. The base is cut in a simple 32 point star.

This carafe measures about 7.25" high and has a diameter of about 6.25" at its widest. It is a heavy piece at 3.4 lbs.

Condition is very good, although a few flea bites can be found on close examination.

Both the glass itself and the cut are gorgeous. This is a truly fine example of American Brilliant glass!
