Come take a look at our holiday sale items! ~~We wish you a joyful and peace-filled holiday season!
According to David Pressland’s The Book of Penny Toys, this little butterfly was manufactured in Germany by the Georg & Johann Einfalt Company, even though it does not bear their trademark. It is marked “Germany”.
This toy is in remarkable condition, considering it is over 80 years old! There is wear to the gold body, definitely from pushing this toy across the floor. But the colorful wings are in great condition. The undercarriage shows the typical wear associated with these miniature prizes.
When the toy is pushed (by the body, of course) the wings flap, giving the butterfly its realistic look.
