This lovely moss green powder box exudes calm with its soft matte color and peaceful hand painted scene. Tiny brown dots ring the neck and lid for added appeal - all of the dots are still in place. In fact, this little box is in very good condition; there are no chips, no cracks, no scratches in the glaze, no paint missing. It is marked in green with the M inside the wreath and "Hand Painted Nippon" (Mark #47 according to Joan Van Patten's Encyclopedias of Nippon Porcelain). It measures just under 4" in diameter at its widest point, and 2.25" high.
