Libbey Engraved Glass Compote (Comport)

This is an absolutely lovely example of Libbey engraved glass. From the leafy engraved design of the base, to the twisted and engraved stem, to the stylized floral engraving of the bowl, to the carefully notched rim, this is one beautiful and elegant piece!

This compote measures just under 7" tall and about 6.5" in diameter at the top. It is marked with the Libbey in a circle - a mark that was used between 1919 and 1945. I have so far been unable to discover the name of this particular pattern. Condition is excellent, with no flaws at all that I can see.

This gorgeous piece deserves a place in your Libbey collection - or even as a stand alone piece of early 20th century American glass.
