This is a very substantial weight, large, deeply and heavily carved black Bakelite frame with an attached oval and cameo of early plastic that is not Bakelite. The shell motifs are very well done. This is an early piece that is well executed with a significant amount of intricate carving. It is 3” x 2 3/8”. The one-piece pin mechanism is attached with brads glued into drilled holes and works great. This wonderful old Bakelite piece is in very good condition.
