Magnificent is the best descriptive word for this Arts & Crafts Sash Pin. One side is beautiful repousse work contrasting with the other side that was left smooth. There is another raised piece added that has very intricate scrollwork, flowers and two very large leaves that overlap a large square cabochon of tangerine speckled Czech glass set in a bezel setting. It is very naturalistic and the metal is brass. The workmanship demonstrated in this piece is truly of a master craftsman of the period. It is unmarked as most of these pieces were. It measures 2 3/4” x 2” and the square center stone is 3/4” x 3/4”. The condition is excellent with a large strong c-clasp closure and heavy strong pin mechanism. It has a lovely antique aged patina that gives the already very dimensional piece additional depth in viewing. There is metal wear and scratching to be expected with a piece that is 100 years old. For anyone who collects Arts & Craft pieces or sash pins this is one not to miss out on, as it is truly exceptional.
