Elegant Pair of Italian Sterling Silver Candlesticks

This Elegant Pair of Italian Sterling Silver Candlesticks, by Davide Ventrella, Rome, are in Excellent Condition, c.1930. Both are 11 kg of 800 grade Sterling Silver. Each candlestick has seven branches and can be converted to a single candle stick. Davide Ventrella is the grandson of Giuseppe Ventrella, 19th century founder of the Ventrella company in Naples, who cataloged the jewels of the Royal House of Naples. Davide left Naples for Rome where he established his own business, and his cousins continued the business in Naples, which is still in operation today. Each candlestick base is stamped “800” next to a small horse insignia, the underside of the base is stamped with the Ventrella name and address. Measuring 17” Dia candle branches x 22”H on base Base is 7 1/2” Dia x 13 3/4”H (as single candlestick), they are stunning for the most demanding continental design.
