This Elm and Walnut Cassone from the Emilia Romagna is in Excellent Overall Condition, c.late 17th Century. Featuring Decorated with raised geometric styled elm panels at the front and sides. The rectangular top with original hardware attaching it to the body of the chest. All raised on a plinth base having shaped elements. Examples of this type of chest are illustrated on page 28, in “Mobili Antichi in Emilia Romagna” by Graziano Manni, Artioli Editore in Modena.
