Offered for your consideration, this elegant early rhinestone studded hair comb, circa 1900's. This is a side comb, or lesser comb. It is designed to be a hair accessory, where you would also add smaller accents. There is another larger comb which was intended to be the focal point of a hair style in Victorian times, it is called a High comb or Back comb. It is usually quite ornate and large. Pre-1900's combs of this type can be Tortoise or carved shell. This piece measures 2" wide and 4-1/2" high. It is in excellent condition and is made of celluloid. An wonderful antique treasure!
