Circa the mid to late 1970's, this wonderful & brightly colorful glazed ceramic mould was produced in Japan by a company called the Haldon Group, who went out of business permanently in the early 1990"s. Their specialty was making majolica style pieces that are still highly sought after. This piece is certainly no exception, with fine detailed contouring and delicately precise painting by hand. This piece bears the original sticker that says "the haldon group ~ MADE IN JAPAN". Having obviously hung on the wall, it is in PRISTINE CONDITION, meaning that there is no damage whatsoever. It would make a lovely gift for any collector of Majolica style pottery or kitchen molds. It comes equipped with a thick leather strip that has been strung through the two holes provided for such. The featured cantaloupe is just beautiful, as is the green striping trim around the fluted edges of the rim.

It measures 10" in width, 8-1/4" in length and is approximately 2-1/2" in depth. It comes equipped with a leather strip that has been tied, for hanging purposes.
