REDUCED Vintage 1940s Silver Plate Open Sugar Bowl with Beaded Rim Marked England

This is an extremely attractive silver plated (silverplate) footed open sugar bowl with a beaded edge around the rim. On the bottom it is marked S.G. and then Silver Plated & Made In England. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, meaning that we find no damage of any kind, aside from very light wear marks that are consistent with its age. We finally came to the conclusion that S.G. must have been the maker, although we've been unable to find any references to S.G. in our many silver & silver plate identification books or internet research of the same. Unfortunately, it might forever be an unsolved mystery, so we can only hope that the buyer will purchase the piece for the simple reason that they are pleased by it. Because of its elegant & simple design, it should integrate nicely with other pieces.

It measures 2-1/2" in height and 4-7/8" in diameter.
