Early American Pressed (or Pattern) Glass (EAPG) was made between 1860 & 1930, and the variety of patterns was vast. This lovely celery tray is from the end of that Era, in 1930, and has spent all these years in a china cabinet. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, meaning that other than a very small, flat flake on the outside of the sawtooth rim. I failed at all attempts to get a picture of the flake because it really is difficult to even see it with the human eye, but can best be felt. The dish measures 10" in length, 4-1/2" in width, and is approximately 1-3/4" deep. Please note that although it was pressed on a clean blank, it does have several straw marks. These should be considered manufacturer's flaws & are often thought to increase the validity of the age of a piece of glass. At any rate, this is a lovely pattern which is identified on page 158 of 'The Standard Encyclopedia of Pressed Glass ~ Second Edition ~ 1860-1930' by Bill Edwards & Mike Carwile.
