SALE Fabulous Display of Jade and Quartz Fruits in Giant Clam Shell Circa 1960s

This is truly one of the most exciting items I've had the opportunity to sell. It is a giant clam shell filled with more than 15 separate groups of assorted fruits with leaves in different colors of authentic jade and rose quartz. When purchased, this group will come furnished with the original 1960's provenance provided by the current owner.

According to the current owner, each one of these pieces were sent by his grandmother while his grandparents were visiting in Red China on their trip around the world. In addition, a signed hardback book (with dust cover) by the grandfather, Claude Aikman, called 'Travels With Little Mama' will be provided as well. They were a most interesting pair and Claude was a west Texas rancher & oilman. The book is absolutely charming and full of interesting tales about the places they traveled and the people they met.

The fruits are all life-sized and almost mouth watering. Included are:

All of them have their original jade leaves in varying but appropriate shape & size. I hope that my pictures will do justice to this magnificent group.
