We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this stunning, large American Brilliant Period (1875 - 1915) cut glass bowl. The cuts on this bowl are simply magnificent, being deep and very concise. It also has a very lovely, long ring when very lightly tapped. I'm still researching the actual name of the pattern and will add it when found. Until then, please feel free to marvel at the sheer beauty in the cuts of this bowl. The American Brilliant Period is a time in glass cutting that can never be repeated & certainly deserves the respect that it commands. Not even Waterford crystal can compare with the excellence of the ABP period of glass cutting. This fabulous piece of cut glass is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, meaning that although not in perfect or mint condition, we have found no major issues of any kind. It does have a handful of the tiniest little fleabites, but absolutely nothing that can even be measured. Luckily, this bowl is heavily cut and none of these fleabites can be detected without the help of a magnifying glass. This piece has been black light tested and is deemed to have no cracks of any kind. Also, it glows the desired pale yellow, indicating that it was indeed made in the American Brilliant Period.

This bowl features a combination of cuts including deep, mitre cuts, zipper cuts, fans, stars, and comets. There is not a single square inch on this piece that wasn't cut. It is truly an amazing piece.

It measures 8 - 1/2" in diameter, 3 - 1/4" in height, and is 1/2" in thickness.
