Superb old frame, 1850-70s, ivory on mahogany & made to fit the old carte de visite photography - the first popular paper print photographs. This is very like several others we have, not duplicates. This is a fine old easel-stand frame with gilt bronze mat in an arched top style, and contains the original old carte de visite photograph of a gentleman with tophat & a great antique table & setting. Aren't we all glad that chin-beard went out of style, too. Great atmosphere piece, or toss the old photo and fill it with your own favorites. Great frame!
