Antique French Guilloche Enamel Buckle, Silver - Magnificent!

Not quite celeste blue, but a fine French blue enamel that shimmers over the guilloche or machined silver it's kiln-fired onto, a' la the process that's so painstaking and results in these beautiful treasures. The thing that drew me to this elegant and large antique buckle was not only the enamel, though, but also that rocaille and ornamentation in gold. Isn't it just a gem of a thing! Nothing to detract, it is in very fine condition, just as you can see. Perfect to wear, or just to enjoy as a tabletop 'gem'. Excellent condition. c. 1890-1920, French or Austrian - no marks to tell us which. I believe the buckle is sterling silver, but without marks to confirm, we'll just stand behind that assessment on our own. Sterling silver.
