Gorgeous antique French six piece silver plated vanity brush set with huge cut crystal dresser jar! Yes, the set is silver plated as opposed to sterling silver but they're as elegant AND priced at far less than half what you'd pay if they were sterling! All with an ornate raised framing and each with a small maker or hallmark. The box and hand mirror have the 'VS' & boat marking and the rest have the smaller 'SF' with stars marks. Obviously matched patterns but the different marks may be from two different makers....whatever, it's a truly gorgeous OLD set and sure to please!

Good-very good condition! The only piece that shows much loss of the silver plating is the smallest handled brush. There is a slight bit of bending to the metal just on the inside framing of the mirror but, as you can see in the pictures, no dents or other damage (one tiny dent on a corner of the box's lid). There are a few chips to the rim of the box on one side but no other damage. The box alone is worth our modest price! See pictures for measurements.
