Fabulous & rare 19th century to earliest 1900s hand carved Black Forest bear figure, a single inkwell with white opaline glass ink pot, hand painted accenting & two-tone glass eyes! A delightful little figure, this one is actually a bear's bust with just the head & neck and hinged at the mouth. The inkwell inside and it's seen some use, judging from the ink stains here & there....adding to the charm of the piece really! Two toned glass eyes and hand painted accenting around the mouth, a wonderful desk top decorative piece!

Very good condition! It appears that one of the eyes has been reglued and there is a tiny chip on the base of the front (tiny). No chips or damage to the ears or nose, usually the first to go and the opaline pot is undamaged. See pictures for measurements.
