Remarkable & rare antique to vintage French Belle Epoch era navy blue patent leather 'trousse d' voyage' or travel valise, complete with gilded sterling silver or vermeil topped jars, perfume bottles & brushes, a host of genuine ivory handled vanity or manicure implements and the original velvet protective cover! Some wear to the gilding on the silver but the case and comprehensiveness of this one really makes it a treasure! Palais Royal style fittings, like the earlier wooden travel chests owned by Josephine herself. Yes, this one is a bit newer, likely turn of the century to early 1900s (I think 1950 is really pushing it). An exquisite set, don't miss it!

Very good-excellent condition! Nothing missing that I can see and only the possibility of a tiny nip or two to the crystal or glass jars/perfume bottles. Complete with the original beveled vanity mirror in the lid (though our first image shows it inside the case). Original key, too! See pictures for measurements.
