Rare & Fabulous 19th Century French Gilt Ormolu Shadow Box Style Antique Frame, Oversized Souvenir Relic/Reliquary Display or Monstrance with Wreath and Floral Bow & Ribbon Crown! WOW, another fantastic piece and tagged well below what we've sold much smaller relic display pieces for in the past! Oversized and nearly an inch of depth inside, this one would most likely have held a fine old hair art mourning piece or a religious souvenir type relic. Most of those we've had in the past were a fraction of this one's size, some jewel encrusted and some having ornate stands but none with such an impressive size! A superb piece, don't miss this one! In fact, I just realized that we have a fabulous 19th C. carved ivory Christ sculpture/figure that would fit perfectly in this frame....take a look at it also, it's priced right and a fantastic piece...a fantastic pairing! Excellent Condition! All is original and in pristine shape! No interior contents so it's ready for your personal touch! The only non-original piece is a newly cut glass face.
