Wonderful antique French Napoleon III era sterling silver & genuine carved ivory 3pc writer's desk set, a pen, wax seal and paper knife in the original fitted presentation box! This dates from the mid to late 1800s, a beautiful 3pc set for the sophisticated scribe :). Tiny French boar's head hallmarks on the silver, designating at least .800 silver content as opposed to the .925 content of sterling silver (but very common with these smaller pieces where extra strength is important). All nestled in the original fitted case, great for the collector or wouldn't it make a wonderful Holiday gift for the 'writer' in your life.

Very good condition. All three pieces in great shape, as you can see, with only tiny nips to the tip of the paper knife. The pen appears to be original but we can't be certain. The box does show its age some, as can be seen in the images. These contain Contains African elephant ivory, purchased within the US or with proper CITES documentation and will only be shipped within the US unless accompanied by the appropriate import/customs documentation.
