Fantastic Vintage Tortoise Shell Purse with Shell Handles

What a fantastic estate find, this is a circa 1950's double handled purse made of sixty pieces of tortoise shell all individually sewn to the satin purse. Measuring 9-1/4" x 6-1/4" x 2-3/4", it has a magnetic snap closure and one zippered compartment. The square tortoise shell pieces on the sides each measure @1-1/2 x 1-1/2" and those on the bottom are 1-1/2" x 1-1/4". There are minor imperfections and scuffs along the bottom edge, consistent with its age.
