Jenny Lind Bed, Spool Bed, Full or Double Size

This sweet mahogany bed is called a Jenny Lind or spool bed. Jenny Lind was a famous opera singer in the mid 1800's and promoted by the great P.T. Barnum. Spool turned beds became synonymous with her name. The bed will accommodate a standard full or double size mattress and box springs. The headboard tall posts measure 58". The original side rails fit snugly and the bed is extremely sound when set up. The finish is original and in excellent condition. 65"h X 58"w X 80"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1900.
