Wonderful antique chamber pot from England. Cream pottery with gold trim, it has a transfer of branches with pinecones and pussywillows on one side and leaves and blooming thistles on the other. The diamond-shaped "lozenge" on the bottom is the British registry mark, and the numbers indicate that this piece was made March 13, 1852. It has survived in remarkably good condition with only some gold loss on one side of the rim, a tiny rim flake as pictured, and a bit of loss to the pink transfer on the thistles. 5 5/8" high, pot diameter is 9 3/8", and 11 1/4" across the rim to outside handle edge. A very nice early example of English transferware.
