The Daisy pattern was a favorite of several American Brilliant Glass cutting houses, notably Libbey and Pairpoint/Mount Washington, and this compote is of the clarity and quality cutting of both houses. Standing a majestic 8 1/4" tall with a top diameter of 6 1/4" and a bowl depth of over 1 1/2", this is a stately, elegant piece. The curved and paneled or fluted stem is notched/zippered, and the 4 1/8" diameter base is cut with a 16 point star. Note the beautiful daisy cut with diamond center! The compote is in excellent condition with no chips or damage noted. Some expected shelf wear on the base. Glows a soft yellow when exposed to UV light. We envision this looking dazzling on a sideboard, or filled with whipped cream on a tray of strawberries!
