A sparkling Early American Pressed or Pattern Glass (EAPG) footed celery vase in the Honeycomb pattern with scalloped rim and panelled stem. The Honeycomb pattern was made by many 19th century glass makers, among them Bakewell, Pears & Company of Pittsburgh, c. 1865; Grierson & Co., Pittsburgh, c. 1875; J. B. Lyon & Co., Pittsburgh; McKee Brothers, Pittsburgh, c. 1880; New England Glass Co, East Cambridge; O'Hara Glass Co, Pittsburgh; U.S. Glass Co., Pittsburgh, and Bellaire Co. This beautiful vase stands 7 1/4" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or cloudiness. It does have a few specks in the glass consistent with manufacturing conditions of the late 1800's. Glows a soft yellow when exposed to UV light. Antique celery vases are so versatile--use them for celery, as spooners or other utensil holders on a buffet, as vases--wherever your imagination and decorating flair takes you!
