A fabulous antique Limoges porcelain biscuit barrel or jar in a ribbed or melon form and crimped rim. The upper portion is a vibrant yet delicate pink shading to an ecru or pale custard cream color. The pink and cream lid has a wonderful gold bow with streamers finial. The jar stands 6 3/4" tall and is 5 1/4" in diameter across the top. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The bottom has an impressed anchor mark and the words "Depose Limoges", which we believe is an early Lanternier mark. A fantastic piece that will compliment so many Limoges dinnerware patterns.
