Simply lovely large marmalade jar or jam pot beautifully hand painted on a peach/tan background with green leaves and bunches of currants, then lavishly trimmed in gold on the pot's rim and lid handle. This is a large piece, measuring 4 1/4" to the top of the lid finial and having a diameter of just over 4 1/4". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing, one pinpoint speck of gold wear on the inner rim as pictured. The interior is immaculate. The pot is marked on the bottom with the Moritz Zdekauer Austria mark, c. 1900. It is also marked with the artist's initials "L.M.H." who was a Limoges porcelain artist of the early 1900's, and this piece was likely done for one of the Limoges factories.
