A fine Limoges plate dating between 1891-1914 and measuring 8 1/2" in diameter. Decorated with pink and white poppies that also resemble apple and dogwood blossoms, the raised enamel paint adds beauty and depth to this fine porcelain. A raised border with rich gold trim frames the plate. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, the glaze is bright and shiny, and the gold trim is intact. The plate bears 2 marks, indicating that this is a Limoges factory decorated piece. The smaller star mark is that of the Coiffe Limoges factory, while the larger Coronet mark indicated the piece was decorated under the direction of George Borgfeldt.
