Excellent condition cut and engraved glass pitcher from the American Brilliant Period (ABP), 1876 - 1917. This pitcher features beautiful miter cuts with flowing, beveled leaves and engraved flowers with starburst centers. The spout or lip of the pitcher has beveled cuts, the rim has notched square cuts, and the applied handle has a cut thumb rest along with cut thumbprints on either side. 24 point rayed star or sunburst base. 8 3/4" high, 7 3/4" front spout lip to outermost portion of the handle, and the base is 5 1/2" in diameter. Weight is just under 5 lbs. Beautiful water-white blank. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or cloudiness, though there is some shelf wear to the base rim as expected. This magnificent piece glows a soft yellow when exposed to UV light. An outstanding piece of antique glass from the Victorian era, in outstanding condition.
