c.1885 Moss Rose Rectangular Ironstone Platter

Late 19th century Moss Rose ironstone platter made by the East End Pottery Company of East Liverpool, Ohio. Measures 13" x 9 5/8". It is in very good condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of very tiny top glaze flakes on the reverse near the edge as pictured. Weighs 2 1/4 lbs. The mark on the reverse is shown in DeBolt's Dictionary of American Pottery Marks, and is the mark used for 1895. A great piece of early American pottery.
