A turn of the century antique gentleman's spittoon or cuspidor in yelloware with a Rockingham drip glaze. The surround has a picket fence pattern and there is a hole for emptying on the side.There are no chips or cracks, and the piece measures 8 3/4" in diameter and 4" high; weight is 4 lbs. The bottom is unmarked. Though Rockingham glazed pottery is often attributed to Bennington (Bennington referred to this glaze as "flint enamel"), we believe this is more likely of Ohio or Pennsylvania origin.

An absolutely gorgeous Stangl Pottery Bird figurine! This one is the Indigo Bunting, having a predominantly blue body, yellow face, and crimson breast. It stands 3 1/4" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is marked on the bottom with the word "Stangl" in brown; this mark was used during World War II and indicates that it was manufactured in Trenton. The numbers are incised, and the artist's initials appear in black.
