Antique Victorian Post Card Keeper Box

$115 USDAntique Victorian Post Card Keeper Box

Antiques:Accessories
A wonderful turn-of-the-century post card box! We suppose the post card was the email of the late 1800's-early 1900's--a quick and easy way to communicate without the formality of serious letter writing, and keeping a supply of post cards, both received and to be sent, would have been standard in the Victorian home. This box is constructed of lightweight wood and covered with a paper that has a pigskin leather look and feel. It retains its original brass hinges and closure and is stamped "Post ...

Late 1800's wood vase, beautifully turned, with hand painted Victorian florals of Lily of the Valley, green leaves--reminiscent of some early Roseville and Weller pottery vases. We believe the wood is mahogany, very tight grain. 12" tall, weighs just over 4 lbs.

The print has yellowed with age. Glass is in good condition, and most of the original brads on the back holding the inner cardboard in place remain. Overall size, including ...

Overall dimensions are 7" wide, 4 3/4" high, and 3 7/8" deep. The caddy is in very good original condition as shown. Large Oval Mahogany Banded Glass Bottom Serving Tray

$125 USDLarge Oval Mahogany Banded Glass Bottom Serving Tray

Antiques:Accessories
Very nice antique mahogany serving tray with a beautifully curved oval shape, indented "handles" on either end and a glass bottom. In very good shape for its age, but it does have some scuffs and bruises for decades of use which we think enhances its antique appeal. The tray measures 24" x 15 3/4" x just over 2 1/2" high at the ends. Looks great with our Baccarat crystal wine stems and still has room for a decanter or wine bottle. Tray weighs 6 3/4 lbs (glass is heavy!) before packing, and ...
