This is very much like a Russian amber and gold brooch that I had in the shop before. However, this one is not hallmarked but tests positive as 10 karat gold--but I believe that it is gold plated as upon close inspection through magnification, it appears that some of the plate may be flaked in tiny specks in a couple of areas. However, it doesn't interfer with the beauty of this piece.

The amber beads are rich and deep honey colored, very beautiful indeed. It measures 2 1/8th of an inch long by 1.5 inches wide. All of the beads appear to be without problems.

A really lovely vintage piece of amber jewelry at an affordable price.
