SOLD French Porcelain Desk Set Hand Painted Gorgeous Complete

It is a bit unusual to find all of these pieces still together and in great condition as a desk set. From a Miami estate, this beautiful set was made in France, and consists of 4 desk blotter surrounds of hand painted porcelain set into gilded bronze or brass; an ink blotter topped in porcelain; a gorgeous ink well with an undulating swirl top and a box for stamps and pen nibs.

The porcelain is a clean white with lovely flowers and gilded designs. There are no chips, cracks or crazing to any of the pieces. There is some wear to the gilding on the ink well and edges of the other pieces that are signs of normal use.

The Blotter: 4 1/8th long by 2 inches wide, .75 tall The Inkwell: 6.75 inches long by 6.5 wide, 5 inches tall The Box: 3.5 long by 1.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall The Blotter Surrounds: 3.25 by 3.25 inches

The blotters are impressed "Made in France" in the metal, the inkwell has a hallmark under the glaze that is difficult to read but I believe it says "Valet" Hand Painted, the box is also marked "Handpainted" in script.

A really gorgeous set for any desk.
