This is a wonderful find from my last buying trip! There are 9 pieces in this ladies travel kit that is still in its original leather zipper case. The set features gilded metal with a deep burgundy red "enamel-like" (I do not know the composition) facing on the rear of the mirror and brush and tops of the caps to the various bottles. The mirror and brush have a decorative metal piece that could be engraved with a monogram. These have not been.

The bottles are pressed glass with a nice design and include two dresser type jars, two capped bottles, and a toothbrush holder. The mirror itself is in good condition with minimal de-silvering but the handle shows wear, as shown in the photos. The brush is in very good condition, clean and with the bristles intact. There is also a clear plastic comb and a brass type nail file that come with this set.

All of these pieces fit into a brown leather zipper case that is lined in a silk-like moire fabric that is in good condition with only one spot at the top of one of the bands that holds a jar. There are no tears or other discoloration that I have noticed. The leather is in pretty good condition, although the handle on one side has broken in two (could be easily repaired by a shoe maker), and there is some wear along the edges that you will notice in the photos.

The set measures 16 inches wide when open, and is 12.25 inches in length. The mirror is 11.25 by 4.5; the brush is 9.75 by 3.25; the jars are 2.5 in diameter; the bottles are 3.24 tall, 3.25 wide and 1.5 deep; the toothbrush holder is 6.75 long and 1.15 in diameter; the comb is 6.75; and the nail file is 6 inches long. Whew! There's a lot of goodies in this kit! It weighs quite a lot.
