This is a wonderful vintage sterling silver pin from Flora Danica, the Danish silver maker. Founded in 1953 by Orla Eggert who perfected a method of preserving pieces of Danish vegetation by dipping the pieces in sterling and then bonding 24K gold over the sterling foundation. It is a very densely designed brooch with a gold wash, that is a piece of native vegetation fromDenmark.

It is marked "Flora Danica Sterling 925, Eggert, Denmark." It measures 1 7/8ths by 1 and 3/8ths inches. The pin and closure are in good condition. The gold wash retains a lovely glow. A really lovely pin for your collection.
