For your consideration I present a vintage, pre-ban ivory carved pendant that is marked "St. Anton a Arlb." I have discovered in my research that Arlb is a town or region in Austria. I learn so much doing my work! I assume that St. Anton is the same as St. Anthony--but I could be wrong, and if you know, please let me know, I would be grateful.

There is a lamb depicted as the center piece of this oval shaped carved piece which is quite delicate in its feel. The carving is really excellent. This measures 1 7/16th inches by 1 inch. It has the old style "C" clasp. Written in script on the back is "St. Anton a Arlb."

A really wonderful and delicate piece of very old ivory that is not Asian,in theme which makes it even more rare.
