What a lovely box! And yes, it does have all the glitter that is shown in some of the photos I took with the flash--it does shine! A very intricate floral motif is executed in this open work box. It has turned little feet, a stylized border around the bottom and top. The glass is beveled and free of nicks or chips. The interior pale gold velvet cushion is in very good vintage condition. The hinge on the back works very well and the lid opens and closes without problems.

It is 4 1/8th inches square, a hair under 3 inches high, and the interior space is 1.5 deep. There is some burnishing and aging to the ormolu normal to vintage items. A really lovely trinket or watch box that still has a lot of sparkle and charm!
