I'm pleased to present this lovely vintage bag that has the hallmark of the Netherlands which is a lion, and the initials LG which may be the maker and if so it would be L. Gronlund of Odense who used this mark from 1893 to 1937. The embroidery work is just lovely and consists of flowers done in pinks and yellows with green leaves and stems and is on both sides of the bag. The fabric is a black silk moire and is in very good condition.

This bag has a more simple, in the style of the Netherlands, frame that is .833 silver, with tiny beadwork along the top edge which shows some wear on one side, and there is a floral motif on the bottom of the frame closest to the fabric. The inside of the bag is separated in the middle by its own coin purse. The interior of the bag is also a black silk and is in good condtion without staining.

This lovely bag measures 3.5 inches across the frame, the frame itself is apx. .25 inches and it is 5.75 inches from the top to the bottom and the bottom itself is 6 inches wide.

A lovely elegant bag that would be a star in anyone's collection.
