Being a Floridian, I adore all things tropical, so this just really caught my eye, as I am sure it will yours! For your consideration, I present an original painting that appears to be done on silver painted board, with applied acrylics. The colors are just as vibrant as the artist's approach to the subject. Sweeping large brush strokes create a fabulous floral and jungle motif with a gorgeous cockatoo done in the reds, blues, and yellows that make these birds so stupendously eye catching. This is a bold bird!

I like to think of this work as "happy art" in the sense that you just can't help but grin every time you look at it. It is in its original carved wood frame. You will receive it as I found it, and love it too. Signed by the artist "M. Devar" I cannot date this piece, although it is reminiscent of some of the art that was done in the 1930s and 40s. Whatever its age, it is sure to please and attract attention wherever it is displayed.
