This is the companion lithograph to the other Briggs that is in the shop. Again, we have a seaside scene, but again, it is atypical. Millie Briggs is a well known New England artist who has worked in the Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard areas for decades. If she is still living, she is quite elderly at this point.

The subject matter is a tranquil scene at the beach executed in soft colors to evoke the sense of serenity that one may find at the beach.

I find this a very charming, fresh and atypical artistic rendition of a subject that has been approached in so many ways. The approach the artist has taken is subtle soft and suggestive of relaxation and simple pleasure. This lithograph is signed and numbered by the artist in pencil as the photos show. It has been rematted and reframed to present it in the style that it deserves. Surely a lovely addition to any collection of fine art prints.
