Antique Wave Crest Trinket Jar with Lovely Unusual Copper Top & Handles

For your consideration I am pleased to present this beautiful and unusual Wave Crest trinket box with a wonderful swirl design and hand painted flowers. It has a really beautiful and most unusual copper lid and handles.

Made by the C.F. Monroe company in the early 1900s, Wave Crest is a highly prized collectible. This round box is 4 inches from handle to handle, 3.25 inches wide across the body, the lid is 2 and 3/8ths inches in diameter and it is 3 inches tall. The fancy copper top and handles make this piece very unique. Usually the tops or other metal work are done in bronze with gilt or some other base metal. The top has a modernist design engraved into it that is shown in the photos. While I have not tested the metal, it appears to be copper. It is hand painted with blue and pink flowers and greenery. It is in excellent condition with no chips or flea bites, there is some normal fading to the paint of the flowers and minor patination of the copper/metal. There is no sticker or mark on the bottom but this is definitely Wave Crest. Not all Wave Crest was signed.

This would be a remarkable addition to any trinket box collection or a Wave Crest collection
