Antique Oak Platform Rocker Eastlake Style Ornate Butter Print Chip Carved

We are offering this elegant and unique Eastlake style oak platform rocker from the late 1800s Victorian era. It features a spindle back, with decorative turned ball accents, between the carved sections, a carved crest with ball elements across the top, a floral butterprint, or chip carved, section through the middle, and a shaped section below the spindles with ball elements at the bottom. Side support columns end in a large turned finial with tip. Seat has a decorative curved apron underneath, on all four sides.

Seat was reupholstered about 25 years ago and is quite simple to replace should you desire. Finish is medium golden oak. Platform springs are original, in excellent condition, and work perfectly, providing a nice smooth rock. Front of base has original brass casters, to tilt the seat slightly backward for comfort. Back never had casters. Rocker is in excellent condition, with no damage or repairs and no missing elements.

It measures 44 1/2 inches to the tip of the finials on the side columns, 24 inches across the arms, 19 inches across the back, 21 inches across the seat, and 26 inches overall from front to back at base.

This fabulous oak platform rocker has been in my personal collection for over 25 years and they are quite difficult to find today in such great condition.
