This 1940s classic “The Sun Comes Up, A Story of Lassie The Famous Sheepdog”, was based on the MGM film of the same name. Book was printed in England by Ward, Lock & Co., Limited, but has no publishing date. There is an inscription in the front to Jenny November 1949.

Book is a hardcover with 96 pages, 8 beautiful full page glossy color plates and 80 illustrations. It measures 9 7/8 inches by 7 1/2 inches.

There is darkening on the end pages, but all others are bright and clean, with just a tiny spot on a few. Cover graphics are bright and colorful and there is some wear around the edges and the two front corners. Binding is tight and secure and book has no offensive odors.

Cute story! I read the first page and just had to keep going until the end. Guess I’m still a kid at heart!
