This fuzzy wuzzy book is entitled Sir Gruff The Woolly Dog. It was published by Whitman Publishing Co., copyright 1947, and illustrated by Florence Sarah Winship. The illustrations are absolutely fabulous and just seem to “pop” from the pages. It has large full page images of a vibrant black flocked and very fuzzy Springer Spaniel; with the flocking still pretty much intact, though it does seem to shed a little.

Book is a pictorial hardcover, with matching dust jacket, that measures 11 1/4 inches by 8 inches and has 30 pages.

Inside pages are very clean. Only fault is that the flocking has created a light shadow of the dog on adjacent pages, though not distracting. Condition of the book is very good, with most damage on the dust jacket. Hardcover has light wear on the top and bottom edges and wear to the corners at the top and bottom of spine. Binding remains tight and secure. Dust jacket is intact, but has considerable wear and tears along the top and bottom. Cover colors are much brighter and nicer than the images convey. Actually, all of the images are much brighter and more vibrant than they appear on this site.
