Antique Yelloware Mixing Bowl Slip Banded Rolled Rim Yellow Ware

This late 1800s early 1900 yellowware bowl is a mustard yellow or light pumpkin color, with two narrow creamy slip bands, flanked by a medium brown band above and below. Bowl measures 10 1/4 inches diameter and 4 5/8 inches high, with a rolled rim and foot.

Condition is very nice, with only minor manufacturing defects and wear to the gloss on the interior bottom, with the color a little darker in the center bottom. The rest of the bowl has a beautiful gloss finish. There are several small dark dots on the inside, that appear to be glaze pops, with some darkening around them. There is one small flaw on the inside edge of the rim, only 1/4 inch, that appears to be a manufacturing defect, that has slight darkening under the glaze around it. A rust colored line ending in a dark dot on the outside is also from its making and under glaze. There is light overall crazing, common to these bowls, noticed when looking closely. Have tried to point out any little fault, but this is really a beautiful sound bowl, with a shiny glaze and fabulous style!

We have also listed two other similar bowls that were being used with this as a nested set. The coloring of the bands on this largest bowl is a lighter shade of brown than the other two.
