This beautiful life size bird sits on the gnarled tree branches of this open top wall pocket. His colors are scarlet red, cobalt blue, pear green, and a touch of yellow and brown. The glazing is unique, as the entire piece has a gloss finish, while the bird’s head and back are a matte finish, with a slight luminous quality.

This vintage wall pocket is perfect, with no chips, cracks or stains. There is a minor small smudge on two of the brown feather details that was done at the time of its manufacture. Base is marked with an impressed oval with “Made in Japan” surrounding a trademark.

The life like size of the bird and his vibrant colors will make him the center of attention when displayed.
