This is a very unusual Victorian piece, that has 5 parts. The Quad.Silver Plate casserole base holds an enamel pie pan, held in place by a metal ring, with a highly ornate raised lid decorated with grapes and other fruit, used as the finial. It measures 12" between handles, and stands 5" high, to the top of the finial.

It was well used, in fairly good condition, with a heavy patina. The enamel liner has some chips in the enamel, around the rim, with royal blue enamel on the outside of the liner pan. Warranties Quadruple Plate, Homan Mfg. Company, Made in USA 2640, Special Metal, is the mark on the bottom. Homan was in business from 1847, through 1941.
